Here's what you'll need to have:
• Your state-issued I.D.
• The title to the vehicle you want to sell in your name
• The Vehicle you wish to sell
• You must have a clear title in your name. Photo ID is required. If the seller is not the title owner, they must possess a notarized power of attorney before the vehicle can be sold at auction. This service is available at Lehigh Valley Auto Auction. Titles with the following defects will not be accepted: Documents not Notarized, Open Titles, Jumping Signatures, Alterations, Erasures, Wrong Digits, Improper Reassignments, Missing Forms, Mileage Problems. We do accept Reconstructed-Title and Salvage Certificates, but this title condition must be announced prior to bidding. It is the seller's responsibility to inform the office of this title condition to ensure that it is announced to all bidders. Should you not ensure the announcement of the title condition, your sale may be voided.
• When you bring your car to Lehigh Valley Auto Auction, park in the general parking area, then go into the front office to register your vehicle. Please remove all of your personal effects from your vehicle, including your license plate, as the auction is not responsible for any stolen or lost items.
• An office clerk will ask you for your title. We also need your exact odometer reading, as you will be responsible for the correct mileage. If the odometer is not working, or has stopped in the past, the vehicle is TMU (True Mileage Unknown) and must be sold with a caution light and announcement.
• There is a $40 Registration fee per vehicle for two runs through auction, and a $60 Registration fee for four runs through auction. If your vehicle does not during the first auction it is run, you may re-run your vehicle at the following auction for no additional fee. If you want to take advantage of your free additional run, your vehicle must be presented for the next auction. If your vehicle is absent for the next run, you forfeit your free run. If you sell your vehicle, a Seller's fee will be deducted from your proceeds check. These are the only charges to sell your vehicle.
• You must inform the office clerk of how you wish to sell your vehicle. Use the Light System Guide below to determine how you wish to sell your vehicle. All vehicles 200,000 miles or over are automatically sold 'As-Is'. The seller is responsible for the accuracy of this information.
• To protect our customers, all vehicles registered here are subject to inspection by the State Police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, or National Auto Theft Bureau. Do not bring any cars to the auction that does not have a serial number plate.
• When you bring your car to Lehigh Valley Auto Auction, park in the general parking area, then go into the front office to register your vehicle. Green Light:
Seller declares vehicle is subject to all arbitration policies. One defect must exceed $500 (parts only, not including labor) to repair before Vehicle is subject to arbitration, unless declared unsafe by arbitrator. The arbitrator has absolute final word. Any visible defect is not subject to arbitration. All “IF” Sales are subject to the same policy and timeline as regular Green Light sales. Vehicles with 200,000 miles or more are not eligible to be sold under the Green Light announcement.Red Light:
Sold with no arbitration, unit is subject to any and all defects except odometer or title brand problems, if applicable. Vehicles sold under the Red Light are not guaranteed against frame damage or cracked block. Vehicle is not eligible for Post Sale Inspection.
